Doug Pahl, 73|
Doug Pahl, 73, of West Bend joined a cribbage game in Heaven on Saturday, Feb. 15, 2014.
He was a beloved long-term member of the Unity family. Doug tirelessly served as a volunteer for many years, serving on the Board of Directors as maintenance chairperson and keeping the doors open for those struggling with, or recovering from, the effects of alcoholism. He likely tended the coffee counter for more than a thousand hours; there is no way of knowing how far-reaching his helping hand was.
Doug served in the United States Army overseas in Italy. He was employed at Prescott’s Pick ’n Save for many years and made the village of Newburg his home until moving to West Bend.
Please join in a celebration of Doug’s life on Saturday, March 1 at 6 p.m. at Unity of West Bend, 1715 Creek Road. Bring your memories to share as he preferred no recognition, but we must say thank you anyway. A potluck-style luncheon will follow.
In lieu of flowers, cash donations to the Unity Club would be greatly appreciated.
