Mary A. Komp, 77|
Mary A. Komp (nee Martin), 77, of Hartford passed away Monday, Jan. 6,
2014, at the Samaritan Home in West Bend where she has lived since 2008.
She was born Sept. 28, 1936, in Sussex to Alphonse and Barbara Martin.
Mary was united in marriage to Leo M. Komp on Oct. 13, 1956, at St.
Catherine Catholic Church in Mapleton.
Mary loved spending time with her children, thrift shopping, costume
jewelry, sewing and gardening. She was employed at Heidiís Haven, Maple
Dale Manor, had an inhome day care, worked as a secretary, and was a

Hartford VFW Auxiliary, the Girl Scout council cookie chairwoman and the
St. Kilian Christian women.
Mary is survived by four loving daughters, Debra (Steve) Waala, Lynne
(Mike) Gross, Heidi (Frank) Galioto and Julie (Mike Engelke) Komp; 11
grandchildren, Anne (Serg) Cvetkovic, Luke (Stephenie) Waala, Greg and
Andrew Waala, Sarah and Nicole Gross, Anthony (Wendy) Komp and Tyler
Komp, Nathan Engelke, and Alicia and Peter Galioto; six
great-grandchildren Isaiah, Alex, Dominic, Laila, Corrine and Sophie;
her siblings, Rita (Joe) Jungbluth, Shirley (Martin) Zweig, Elizabeth
(Roger) Tremaine, Edward Martin, Barbara (James) Kuehl, Susan Grulke,
Virginia (Scott) Tremaine, Christine Martin, James (Jaci) Martin and
Steve (Marge) Martin. She is also survived by her sisters- inlaw, Diane
Martin and Marion Martin; and siblings- in-law, Theadore (Sue) Komp Jr.,
Betty Scharpf and Richard (Janet) Komp. She is further survived by
nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; parents-in-law, Theodore and
Rose (Herbes) Komp; her husband, Leo Komp; sister, Joan Wittnebel, and
brothers, Ralph, Richard, Douglas, Thomas and Michael Martin;
brothers-in-law Joseph Jungbluth, Vilas Wittnebel, Raymond, Robert
(Valeria) and Jerome Komp; and her sisters- in-law, Phylis Kiefer and
Mass of Christian Burial for Mary will be held on Friday, Jan. 10, 2014,
at 11 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church, W359 N8512 Brown St.,
Oconomowoc (Mapleton), with the Rev. Mike Strachota officiating. The
family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 10 a.m. until
the time of Mass.
Interment will follow Mass at St. Catherine's Cemetery.
