Roger Raymond Liesener of the Town of Jackson passed away at his
residence on Tuesday Jan. 7, 2014, at the age of 88 years.
Roger was born in the town of Jackson on May 19, 1925, to the late Paul
and Louise (nee Kasten) Liesener and married Martha (nee Ward) on June
12, 1948, at Capitol Drive Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Roger was born, lived and farmed his whole life on the family farm in
the town of Jackson where he passed away. He was a long-time active
member at Davidís Star Evangelical Lutheran Church in Jackson.
He is survived by his wife, Martha, of the town of Jackson; children
Kenneth (Elizabeth) of Belgium, Diane (Jim) Rodd of Nekoosa, Lois
(Thomas) Van Cleave of Puyallup, Wash., Raymond (Linda) of Jackson,
Carol (Walter) Guhl of Cedarburg, Dale (Kim) of Campbellsport and Dave
(Dawn) of Jackson; a sister, Mabel Rusch; a brother, Donald (Nancy)
Liesener; and brother-in-law Willard (Barbara) Ward. He is further
survived by 21 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, other relatives
Roger was preceded in death by a grandson, Joseph, a brother, Delwyn, a
sisterin- law, Estella Dirk, and a brother-in-law, Elmer Rusch.
Memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 1 p.m. at Davidís
Star Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2740 Davidís Star Drive, Jackson. The
family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 11 a.m.-12:45
