Caroline Mae Lorrigan, 82, of Hartford passed away Sunday, Jan. 26,
2014, surrounded by her loving family at the Aurora Medical Center in
She was born July 3, 1931, in Reedsville, to Ehfried and Olga (nee Mack)
Schwahn. She was united in marriage to James Lorrigan on Nov. 12, 1951,
She enjoyed flowers and gardening as well as feeding the birds. She was
a longtime member of Peace Lutheran Church.
She is survived by her loving children, James (Karen) and Randy
(Christine); grandchildren, Scott (Kristen), Brian (Erin), Bradley,
Rebecca (Brian) Breuer, Shawna (Joe) Menzel, Dan (Sara), and Jennifer;
great-grandchildren, Ava, Nolan, Jillian Easton, Adrianne, Alayna, and
Brooks; brothers and sisters, Dorothy Peterson, Raymond Schwahn, Edward
(Gail) Schwan, Linda (Harold) Schachel, Milton (Jeanne) Schwahn, and
Betty (Bob) Havlovitz. She is further survived by nieces nephews other
dear relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband, James;
and other relatives.
Funeral services for Caroline will be held Friday, Jan. 31, 2014, at 2
p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home with the Rev. Aaron Steinbrenner
officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on Friday at
the funeral home from noon until the time of service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to Peace Lutheran Church are appreciated.
