Lorraine T. Burhop, 91|
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014, at 1 p.m. at St. John Lutheran Church, 1193 Lakefield Road, Grafton, for Lorraine T. Burhop. The visitation will take place prior to the funeral service on Saturday at the church, from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. The Rev. James O’Reilly-Christensen will officiate the service. Interment will take place at Lakefield Cemetery in Grafton.

Lorraine was born on June 30, 1922, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Anthony Shutta and Rose (nee Miszewski) Shutta. She was later united in marriage to Dietrich Burhop on July 30, 1949, at St. John Lutheran Church, in Grafton. Their marriage was blessed with three children, Marilyn, Kenneth and Jeanine.
Lorraine was employed by Bolen Manufacturing in Port Washington, working as an assembler from 1941 until her retirement in 1988. She was a longtime, active member at St. John Lutheran Church, in Grafton, as well as a longtime resident in the town of Grafton, where she and her husband farmed for many years.
Lorraine is survived by her children, Marilyn (Phillip) Speranza, of Grafton, Dr. Kenneth (Christine) Burhop, of San Diego, Calif., and Jeanine Burhop, of Grafton; grandchildren, Kelly (Mike) Reigner, of Lake Moor, Ill., Ryan Burhop, of Fallbrook, Calif., and James Weeden, of McAllen, Texas; and great-grandchildren, James, Daniela and Steven Weeden, of McAllen, Texas, and Mason and Dylan Reigner, of Lake Moor, Ill. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Dietrich Burhop.
Lorraine was called to her heavenly home on March 3, 2014, at the age of 91.
