Helen G. Kamholz,
G. Kamholz, of Slinger, passed away Saturday, March 15, 2014, in
Grafton. She was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Merrill, the daughter of Algart
August and Mamie Cora (nee Krueger) Sabatke.
As a child, she lived on the farm in Merrill and in Lac du Flambeau for
several years, where her father was mink farming. Her family moved to
Crystal Lake, Ill. to continue mink farming. Helen lived there until she
went to nursing school. She was an RN and worked as an industrial nurse
until she retired in 1983. Upon retirement, Helen moved to Hartford and
became a member of Divine Savior Lutheran Church.
Helen is preceded in death by her husband Robert Kamholz Sr. in 1982,
her son Robert Kamholz Jr., her brothers Orv and Wayne Sabatke, and her
parents. She is survived by her daughter-inlaw Peggy Kamholz, her
granddaughters Erika (Alex) Briesacher, Amelia (Rocky) Scheit, Susan
Kamholz (fiancÚ Mark Majewski), her grandson Robert (Melinola) Kamholz
III, and her greatgrandchildren Kael and Tobin Briesacher and Andrew
Hoegsted. Helen is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and
Visitation will be held Friday, March 21 from 5-7 p.m. at Divine Savior
Lutheran Church, Hartford. Funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the
church. The Rev. Douglas Stowe will officiate. Interment Saturday, March
22 at Woodland Cemetery in McHenry, Ill.
