Eunice R. Paulin, 86

Eunice R. Paulin, 86, of Cedarburg, died Thursday, March 20, 2014, at her residence.

She was born Aug. 17, 1927, in Milwaukee, the daughter of Fred and Lora (nee Wesenberg) Rothweiler. After graduating from college, Eunice worked as an elementary school teacher in Menomonee Falls, Milwaukee and for many years in Cedarburg, retiring in 1986. On Nov. 24, 1960, she married John Paulin at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Port Washington.

She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Cedarburg as well as Delta Kappa Gamma Sorority and the Ozaukee County Area Retired Educators Association. Eunice enjoyed needlework and reading and was instrumental in starting the Visitors Center in Cedarburg.

Survivors include her husband, John; nieces and nephews, Michael A. (Pamela) Henning Sr., Mary Brown, Shelley Schermer and Kurt Henze; great-nieces and great-nephews, Michael A. (Carrie) Henning Jr., David Brown and Jessica (Rick) Eddy; 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews; cousins, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters, Ottilie Henze and June Brown.

Funeral services will be held today, March 25, at 5 p.m. at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg, with Pastor John Norquist of Faith Lutheran Church officiating.
Burial will be in St. Francis Borgia Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home today from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Faith Lutheran Church or Cedarburg Public Library are appreciated.
