Rudolph F. Troeller, “Rudy,” 78 of Hartford, passed away on Friday, March 21, 2014, in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Rudy was born on June 23, 1935, in Hartford, to Rudolph C. and Amanda Troeller (nee Rausch.) He was united in marriage to Joyce Jens on July 14, 1956, at Peace Lutheran Church in Hartford. He worked for International Stamping / MIDAS for 41 years, retiring in 1997. Rudy was a lifelong member of Peace Lutheran Church where his beautiful singing will be missed. He was a car enthusiast who also enjoyed golfing and NASCAR, and was a wonderful conversationalist.

He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Joyce Troeller; dearest sons, David Troeller of Slinger and Jeffrey (Diana) Troeller of Hartford; dear grandchildren, Rachel (Michael) Kenitz, Andrea (special friend, Jon Lilyquist) Troeller, Justin (Heidi) Troeller; two step-granddaughters, two great-granddaughters and six step-great-grandchildren; his sister, Dorothy Hader of North Carolina; and brother-in-law, Lyle (Linda) Jens. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other cherished relatives and friends. Rudy was preceded in death by his parents; daughter-in-law, Sun Troeller; his sister, Ruth Hilgenberg; a step-granddaughter; and brothers-in-law, Alex Hilgenberg and Robert Hader.

Funeral services for Rudy were held on Monday, March 24, 2014, at Peace Lutheran Church, 1001 Center St., Hartford, with the Rev. Aaron Steinbrenner officiating. Interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
