Harley I. Pals, 90
Harley I. Pals of Grafton passed away peacefully at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton on Jan. 3, 2015, at the age of 90 years.
Harley was born in Thornapple to Lambert and Augusta (nee Kleinstick) Pals and married Joan (nee Gildner) on June 30, 1956, at Capitol Drive Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Harley was a Marine veteran serving his country from 1942 through 1946. He was a member of the Rose-Harms American Legion Post #355 in Grafton, VFW Post #7588 in Port Washington, Military Order of the Cootie Pup Tent 22 SNAFU, Buckskin Bowman Club of Cedarburg and was the oldest member of the U.S. Tae Kwon Do Federation. He was also a longtime member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton.
Harley is survived by his children, Susan (Robert) Curtis of Colorado Springs, Colo., Patricia (Steven) Robell of Muskego, James (Constance) Pals of Port Washington and Daniel (Sherrie) Pals of Grafton; grandchildren, Mitchel (Barbara) Pals of Grafton and Valerie (Daniel) Peters of Port Washington; great-grandchildren, Rex and Melody Pals and Gabriel Peters; step-grandchildren, Kindra and Larissa; sisters, Eunice (Donald) Rudd of Sugar Grove, Ill., and Margie Schell of Albuquerque, N.M.
He was preceded in death by daughter-in-law Lisa, one brother and two sisters. He is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 10, at 2 p.m. at Mueller Funeral Home, 979 N. Green Bay Road, Grafton. Interment will be at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grafton.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1:45 p.m.
