Jamie Lynn Spuhler (Hader), 64, of Hartford, entered eternal life Friday, Jan. 9, 2015, surrounded by her loving family. She found peace after a very courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.
Jamie was born on June 25, 1950, to James and Quenette (Johnson) Hader in Hartford. She was united in marriage to David Spuhler on June 6, 1970, in Hartford, at St. Kilian Parish. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, nana, friend and teacher. Jamie was an inspiration to all that knew her.
Jamie was a teacher and mentor at Central Middle School in Hartford for 20 years. In those 20 years, she touched a lot of lives and inspired many students.
She had a passion for life. A passion to make a difference in others lives. The most important thing in Jamie’s life was her family. She taught her family what true love is, she taught compassion and to really enjoy life.
Jamie loved spending time with her grandkids, anywhere. She enjoyed spending weekends at their beautiful cabin up north making tons of memories. She especially enjoyed watching the kids at all of their events. No matter what or where, she was always there.
Jamie is survived by her loving husband of 45 years, Dave, cherished daughter and son, Jess (Steve) Jost and Jeremy (Angela) Spuhler; her six beautiful grandkids, Tanner Resch, Teagan and Tayven Jost, and Kylie, Jalen and Cayden Spuhler; loving sister, Cindy (Jim) Schulteis; sisters-in-law, Sal (Brad) Koch and Terry (Mark) Jambura; and siblings-in-law, Mary (Don) Hebbring, Joan (Ken) Weber, Diane (Skip) Callies, Mike (Julie) Spuhler, Lori (Jim) Shea and Paul Spuhler. Jamie is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Quenette Hader; loving brother, Keith Hader; and mother- and father-in-law, Burnell and Marie Spuhler.
