Orland William Vanderveer IV (OJ), 61 years. Dear son and brother Will, known around these parts as OJ or Juice, died suddenly Tuesday Jan. 6, 2015. Lately he had been in poor health, but even still, this was unexpected.
Will was born on Aug. 24, 1953, in Berwyn, Ill., the son of Janet Vanderveer and the late Orland William (Bill) Vanderveer III. He is also survived by his sisters, Marty (Paul) McCaustland, Cathy Vanderveer and Trina Vanderveer.
Will graduated from Homestead High School in 1971. He got his nickname “OJ” by working odd jobs until he found his niche as a bartender. Once he became a bartender, he acquired the nickname “Juice.” Will painted houses with a high school friend, worked for his dad as a dispatcher, was a landscaper for Egelhoff Tree Service, a cook and bartender at Hadler Lanes and McCormack II and lastly a cook and a bartender at Maxwell’s in Cedarburg for 20 years. He will be missed.
