Rosetta M. Sturm, 91

Rosetta M. Sturm, 91, of Hartford, went home to her heavenly father on Tuesday, Jan. 13, 2015. She was born on March 26, 1923, in Hartford, to Cornelius and Mary (nee Multhauf) Koch. She was united in marriage to Martin Sturm on July 22, 1944, in Monroe, Louisiana, and together they enjoyed many years of square dancing.
Rosetta and Marty farmed in the Holy Hill and Huilsburg area for many years. She worked for Micro Design in Hartford for over 15 years.
She enjoyed: volunteering as a Pink Lady at the Hartford Aurora Hospital, being a ladies aide member of Trinity Lutheran and Peace Lutheran Church, and a member of the Hartford Senior Friends. She also enjoyed sewing and upholstering furniture; she was always keeping busy.
She will be remembered for her self-less, considerate and kind soul, and her great sense of humor.
Rosetta is survived by her loving daughters, Suzanne (Allen) Moldenhauer of Iron Ridge, Jeanne (the late Don) Wille of Columbus, Joan (Robert) Theisen of Woodruff, Jayne (Ken) Chapman of Neosho, and Christine (David) Schroeder of Hartford; 14 cherished grandchildren; 12 cherished great-grandchildren; and one cherished great-great-grandchild. She is further survived by other dear relatives and many great friends from the Gardens of Hartford.
Rosetta was preceded in death by her parents, Cornelius and Mary Koch; husband, Martin Sturm; son, Kent Sturm; siblings, Corrine (Howard) Buth, Eugene (Bernice) Koch; her son-in-law, Donald Wille; and her granddaughter, Tracy (nee Theisen) DeMorett.
Funeral services for Rosetta will be held on Saturday, Jan. 17, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027) with the Rev. Aaron Steinbrenner officiating. The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m.
In memory of Rosetta, memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society or to the charity of one’s choice are appreciated.
Private interment in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
