Nancy D. Thielmann, 71

Nancy D. ThielmannNancy D. Thielmann (nee Campbell), 71, peacefully entered the loving arms of Jesus surrounded by her family on Jan. 13, 2015, after a long courageous battle with lymphoma. Nancy was born April 17, 1943, in South Bend, Indiana, the daughter of William and Marian (nee Jung) Campbell.

A lifelong resident of Hartford, and a graduate of Hartford High School in 1961, she was united in marriage to Paul Thielmann on June 12, 1965, at Holy Hill. Married for nearly 50 years, they were rarely far apart. Together they raised two sons, Scott and Rick.

Nancy was a 32-year employee of the Hartford Union High School District as a student supervisor. She touched many lives during those years, and enjoyed the interaction with the students and made many friends. She was loved and respected by many students and people all around the community.

She was co-founder, charter member and former president of the Hartford Lioness Club and attained perfect attendance for 25 years.

She was co-founder and former president of the Hartford High School Athletic Booster Club. She was proud of being the first “Big Sister” of Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Washington County for five years.

Nancy’s greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. She relished being a grandma. Family was always her main focus.

She enjoyed the winter months, especially the beach and ocean at her winter home in Florida. She was an avid fan of the Brewers, Packers and Badgers, and it was rare she missed a game. Nancy is survived by her loving husband, Paul. Her cherished sons Scott (Anne) Thielmann of Jackson and Rick Thielmann of Schaumburg, Illinois, her adored
grandchildren Josephine, Jillian and Michael, her siblings Scott (Jan) Campbell of Indiana, Sam Campbell of Florida and Sally Campbell of Maryland, her sister-in-law Judy (Lou) Fraser Ryniec of Illinois, brother-in-law John (Linda) Thielmann of Cedarburg, sister-in-law Carole Thielmann of Hartford, and many other relatives and friends.
