Raymond F. Lubbert, 84

Raymond F. Lubbert, of the town of Addison, passed away and found peace on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2015, at the age of 84.
He was born on Jan. 4, 1931, in Germantown, to Otto F. and Julia A. (nee Last) Lubbert.
Ray was united in marriage to Shirley Degnitz on Aug. 6, 1955, at St. Martin Church in Fillmore.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was a long-time member of the Fohl-Martin American Legion Post 483 in Allenton.
Ray had a love for the land and was an organic farmer all his life. His passion was gardening and attending farmer s markets for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, Shirley Lubbert; loving children, Valerie Rick, Dawn (Josh) Wills, Wayne (Colleen) Lubbert, and Ken Lubbert; cherished grandchildren, Dakoda and Chase Lubbert, Brandon Capelle, and Heather Abitz; and dear sibling, Melvin and sister-inlaw, Lucille Lubbert. Ray is further survived by many dear nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Roy and Leslie Lubbert; and sisters- in-law, Alice Lubbert and Gerline Lubbert.
Funeral services for Ray will be held on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at 1:30 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027.) Family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m.
Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.
