Anthony May, 71

Tony May, Port Washington, passed away at Aurora Medical Center in Grafton early Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015. He was 71 years old.
Tony was born in West Bend on July 11, 1943, son of James and Delia “Miki” Hirstein May. The family lived in West Bend before moving to California.
Tony proudly served in the U.S. Navy, serving on the USS Coral Sea during the Vietnam War. Later, he moved to Milwaukee and took a position as an over the- road truck driver for Cronen Oil Co., later Hometown Oil, and finally Badger Lubrication Technology, where he retired in 2003.
Tony moved to Port Washington in 1992 and was united in marriage with Doris Tackes on July 31, 1993.
He loved fishing, woodworking and going to his cottage in Adams County. He was a fan of NASCAR and riding his Harley. When he was younger, he enjoyed playing guitar and harmonica. Tony loved his dogs, all black labs, and his most recent canine companion Reno (even though he is a blonde lab). He is survived by his wife Doris, of Port Washington, and his four children: Yolanda “Loni” Yarbar of Lodi, California, Edgar “Allen” (Jackie) May of Friendship, Tracy (Bill) Wilson and Cliff May, all of West Bend. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, nephew Anthony “Tony” Marciniak of Muskego, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, stepfather James Cromey and sister Andria “Ann” Turner.
Funeral services with military honors will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at the Eernisse Funeral Home, 1600 W. Grand Ave., Port Washington. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home on Saturday from 1:30-5:30 p.m. Online condolences may be left at www.eernissefuneralhome.com.
