Elaine M. Wuerl of Grafton, formerly of Cedarburg and Brown Deer, passed away Monday afternoon, Jan. 26, 2015, at the Hamburg House in Grafton where she had been residing for four years. She was 84 years old. Elaine was born in Beloit on March 11, 1930, daughter of Louis and Eleanor Hintz Post. She attended local schools and was a graduate of the Milwaukee School of Design. Elaine was the proud owner of the Brown Deer Floral Shop for many years before working for and retiring from Miller Brewing. She was united in marriage with Roland J. Wuerl and he preceded her in death.
Elaine was a longtime resident of Cedarburg, where she was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and the Cedarburg Woman’s Club. Elaine loved flowers and antiques, but above all loved and adored her grandchildren and great-grandbaby.
Elaine is survived by her son, Cain (Patricia) Finger of Big Bend and sister Sandra Nise of Park Falls. She is further survived by three grandchildren: Tina, Gina and Jon Finger; one great-granddaughter, Kylie Marie; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 31, at Eernisse Funeral Home, 1167 Washington Ave., Cedarburg. A chaplain John Benethum will preside at the service. The family will receive visitors at Eernisse Funeral Home in Cedarburg on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m.
