William Molter, 92

William “Billy” Molter, 92, a 6-year resident of Phelps, formerly of West Bend, died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2015, in Woodruff. He was born Nov. 15, 1922, in Madison, to Peter and Louise (nee Schroeder) Molter. He attended Holy Angels Catholic School in West Bend.
William worked for the city of West Bend Municipal Water Department for 37 years.
After retiring he assisted his brother and sisterin- law with the Twin Haven Resort in Conover for 10 years.
He was an active member in the Legion of Mary while living in West Bend and at St. Mary’s Catholic Church while living in Phelps.
Fishing, hunting and the Packers were true passions of his.
William was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers: Milton and James; and sister: Marion. He is survived by his brother: Peter (Phyllis) Molter of Phelps; sister: Jewell Engeleiter of Waukesha; and numerous nieces and nephews, as well as other family and friends.
A funeral service will be held at noon on Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Phelps. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to the time of the service at the church. A memorial will be established in William’s name.
