Paul Lemke, 91

Paul Lemke, of the town of Saukville, passed away at Heritage Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Port Washington on Monday morning, Feb. 2, 2015. He was 91 years old.
Paul was born in the town of Trenton on Oct. 5, 1923, son of Otto and Amanda Volbrecht Lemke. On April 3, 1948, Paul was united in marriage with Pearl Fischer at Trinity Lutheran Church in the town of Jackson. The couple farmed in the town of Saukville for many years. Pearl preceded him in death in 2011.
Lemke was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Grafton. He was also a member of the Northern Ozaukee School Board for 12 years, the town of Saukville assessor for two years and had also spent a number of years on the Planning Commission.
Paul farmed and had also worked at the Waubeka Feed Mill for more than 30 years. He enjoyed woodworking, playing a lively game of sheepshead, and watching the Packers and Brewers; recently he had also started watching televised golf.
Paul is survived by his three sons: Paul (Diane) Lemke of Kewaskum, John (Priscilla) Lemke and Mark (Mary) Lemke, both of Saukville. He is further survived by eight grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, one step-great-grandchild, sister June (Willard) Rosenthal of West Bend, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his wife Pearl and brother Louis.
Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 1332 Arrowhead Road, Grafton. The Rev. Mark Wagner will preside. Paul will be laid to rest beside his wife in Waubeka Union Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday before the service from 2-4 p.m. at the church. If desired, memorials are suggested to Our Savior Lutheran Church.
