Donald ‘Unc’ Schreiner, 78
Donald R. “Unc” Schreiner found peace, surrounded by his family, Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015, at the age of 78.
Don is survived by his loving companion, Rebecca Pepper; dear sister Joyce Malnick; proud nephews Chester (Terese) Ulickey and Perry Ulickey; loving nieces Roberta Campbell, Cherlyn (Philip) Rawson and Carolyn (Rock) Schreiner-Picciolo; special great-nieces and great-nephews; along with many other relatives and friends.
Preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Lena Schreiner, brothers James and Robert Schreiner and special nephew Michael Schreiner.
Don was a longtime employee of Kraft Foods, retiring as the general manager of the Kraft-Los Angeles division in 1990.
He enjoyed woodworking, his famous Packer parties and starting many projects at a time. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Visitation will take place on Saturday, Feb. 28, at Wisconsin Memorial Park in the Chapel of the Chimes from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at noon. Inurnment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to St. Mark Ev. Lutheran Church, Leesburg, Fla., the American Heart Association or a charity of your choice. The family would like to extend their thanks and appreciation to Pastor David Rosenau of St. Marks for his ministry to Don, along with the staff of the Lane Purcell Hospice House in Leesburg, Fla., for their compassionate care.
