Karla S. Schultz, 82|
Karla S. Schultz (nee Larsen), 82, of Milwaukee was called to our Lord on Feb. 13, 2015, at the age of 82.
Karla was born Dec. 2, 1932, in Oshkosh, the daughter of Herbert and Celia Larsen (nee Kassens). Along with her brother Maurice, Karla enjoyed her family life and growing up in the Oshkosh area. She also had a wonderful loving family relationship with aunts, uncles and cousins in the Cedarburg area. She then moved to Milwaukee and worked at the Badger Home for the Blind amongst other places of employment. Karla was united in marriage on Oct. 26, 1957, to John C. Schultz, and the family resided in the Milwaukee area. Karla held various jobs and primarily worked selflessly as a nurse’s aide at the Lutheran Home for the Aging and Luther Manor Nursing Home.
Karla is survived by her children, Joan M. Gehling of Wauwatosa and John (Mary) Schultz of Cedarburg; loving grandma of Austin Schultz, Megan Schultz, Kaitlyn Schultz, Timothy Gehling and Amy Gehling. She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
Karla was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and her brother.
Karla has donated her body to the Medical College of Wisconsin in hopes to help in the research of Alzheimer’s Disease. There will be a Celebration of Life Memorial service held at Advent Lutheran Church W63 N642 Washington Ave. (downtown Cedarburg) on Sunday, March 8, 2015, at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Advent Lutheran Church or the Medical College of Wisconsin are appreciated.
