Myrtle L. Kuehl (nee Giese), 89, of West Bend, previously Milwaukee, passed away Monday, March 16, 2015, at Emerald Way.

Myrtle was born on Oct. 10, 1925, to Otto and Eva Marie (nee Katzer) Giese in Milwaukee and was a graduate of Girls Tech. She married the late Richard Kuehl on July 23, 1966. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing for her family along with jigsaw puzzles, reading and especially spending time with her family.

Myrtle is survived by her children: Sandra Lauren, Barbara Petermann, Patricia (Dennis) Kocher, Cheryl (Dan) Kerlin, Lawrence (Pam) Simon and Vicki (Kevin) Muzich. She is further survived by her grandchildren: Stacey, Kim, John, Mark, Cheryl, Jessica, Jodi, Bradley, June, Vicki, Ted Jr., Barbie, Todd, Jenny, Cassie and Katie; 25 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives, friends and Peppy (her bird). She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Richard, brothers, sisters, two son-in-laws: Ted Lauren Sr., and Dennis Petermann.

A Funeral Service will be at 12 p.m. on Friday, March 20, 2015, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel of West Bend. Interment will take place at Wood National Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, March 20, from 11 a.m. until time of service A special thank you to Seasons Hospice, especially Tonia, Mari and Sue. We would also like to thank the staff at Emerald Way, especially Debbie, Joan, Amber and Linda Byrd, who made mom beautiful.
