Susan Endres nee HintzSusan “Sue” Endres (nee Hintz), age 53 of Hartford, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 17, 2015, at home surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.

She was born on March 9, 1962, in Port Washington to Delwin and Ruth (nee Retzlaff) Hintz. She was united in marriage to Roger A. Endres on Nov. 19, 1983, at St. Michael’s Church in the town of Hubbard. She worked for the Wittenberger Bus Co. in Hartford for 23 years and previously for Lee Precision and Libby’s Canning Company.

She participated in the Neosho Utopian 4-H Club, the Hartford FFA, and showed dairy animals at the Washington and Dodge county fairs. Sue enjoyed camping with her family, attending tractor shows and RAT Club events with her husband Roger. Sue also loved basset hounds.

Sue is survived by her cherished sons Adam, Carleton, and Michael (Amanda Muszynski) Endres, all of Hartford; her loving mother Ruth Hintz; dear siblings Daniel Hintz and Sara (Paul) Beine; sister- in-law, Beverly (Tom) Schatz of Rubicon; nephew, Andrew (Angie) Schatz; niece, Sarah (Jim) Green; and her great niece and nephews. She is further survived by other dear relatives and friends. Sue is preceded in death by her beloved husband Roger Endres; her father Delwin Hintz; parents- in-law Maurice and Viola (nee Findling) Endres; and her sister-in-law Caroline (Leo) Connell.

A Memorial Service for Sue will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at 3 p.m. at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027) with the Rev. Paul Johnsen officiating. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 1-3 p.m.

Inurnment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford on Saturday, March 28, 2015, at 10 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, memorials to Sue’s family, the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic (1061 E. Commerce Blvd., Slinger, WI 53086) or to First United Methodist Church (738 W. Monroe Ave., Hartford, WI 53027) are appreciated.

Sue’s family would like to share their sincere gratitude to Dr. Abhay Jella from the Aurora Cancer Care Clinic and to the nurses from the Aurora-At Home Hospice, especially Chris Finn and Kathy Olney for the wonderful care and compassion Sue received.
