Johanna H. Radue, 92

Johanna H. Radue (nee Joergens), 92, was called home to be with her Lord on Saturday, March 21, 2015, at Cedar Community, West Bend. She was born on Nov. 3, 1922, to the late Ernst and Helene (nee Reiner) Joergens in West Bend. After the passing of her father at the age of 2, Johanna and her mother moved back to East Prussia in Europe where she grew up and went to school. Later her family fled to West Germany during World War II. In 1951, she immigrated back to West Bend. She worked for the West Bend Co. for many years and then worked at Herb & Helen Shobers, a jewelry and gift shop, as a sales associate.
She was a lifelong member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, West Bend. She enjoyed gardening, especially attending to her flowers, liked to travel, playing sheepshead, and loved animals, especially dogs.
She is survived by her three children, Sabine Henckel of Rhinelander, Steven Radue of Cary, North Carolina, and Randy Radue of San Francisco; two grandchildren, Stuart (Jennifer) Marshall and Eric Marshall; two great-grandchildren, Sarah and Katie Marshall; and other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband of 37 years Reinhold “Reinie” Radue, son-in-law Fred Henckel, daughter-in-law Joanann Radue and brother Edger (Viola) Bruss.
A funeral service in remembrance of Johanna will be held on Thursday, March, 26 at 1 p.m. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 809 S. Sixth Ave., West Bend. Burial is to follow the service at Washington County Memorial Park. Visitation will be at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
Memorials to Washington County Humane Society, West Bend Dog Park and to the Ministries of the Lutheran Hour are appreciated by the family.
