Thomas F. Breuer, 86


Thomas F. Breuer of the town of Addison, died on Thursday, March 26, 2015, at the Cedar Lake Health and Rehabilitation Center at the age of 86. He was born on Sept. 5, 1928, in Slinger to the late Frank and Louise (nee Baier) Breuer.

On July 7, 1951, he was united in marriage to Kathryn M. Heinecke at St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. The couple then bought a farm in the town of Addison. In 1984 they retired, but Tom remained active on the farm.

Kathryn preceded him in death on Sept. 10, 2009.

Throughout his life, he was an active member of the community. For many years, he served as a supervisor for the town of Addison. He also served on many dairy co-op boards. For 40 years, he was a member of the board of the Milwaukee Milk Producers — serving as president for 10 years — and was a board member of the World Dairy Expo.

In addition to farming, he enjoyed playing cards, particularly sheepshead, and was an avid sports fan.

Survivors include four children, Michael (Janice) of Waldo, Daniel (Koreen) of Allenton, Karen (David) Long of Eden and Linda Kruepke of West Bend; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Peters of West Bend; brother, Jerry (Rosemary) Breuer of Slinger; sisters-in-law, Bernice Breuer of West Bend and Carole Breuer of Slinger; brothers-in-law, Sylvester Goeller of Hartford, George “Butch” Heinecke of Muskego and Frank Braun of West Bend; nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law Jeffrey Kruepke; brothers and sisters Katherine (Clarence) Becker, Walter Breuer, Eileen Goeller and Leroy Breuer; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Elroy Peters, Donald (Dorothy) Heincke, Lorraine Braun and Carol (Ervin) Westphal.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, March 31, at 7 p.m. at St. Lawrence Catholic Church with the Rev. Davies Edassery presiding. Burial will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. in St. Matthias Cemetery, Nabob. The family will greet relatives and friends at the church on Tuesday from 4-6:45 p.m.
