Sharon Lynn Forbes, 66

Sharon Lynn (nee Anderson) Forbes passed away on March 26, 2015, after a long illness, where she was surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Madison on Sept. 20, 1948. She spent most of her growing up years in Peshtigo, and graduated from Peshtigo High School in 1966. Sharon loved history, especially the Civil War era, and visited many historical battlefields throughout her travels. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse with a bachelorís degree in history in 1971.
After a few years of living in Minneapolis, Sharon relocated to Milwaukee and worked at Manpower Printing Services, which is where she met her husband, Jeff Forbes. They were married on Sept. 6, 1986. After many years of working for the State of Wisconsin Department of Corrections, Sharon retired in 2010. She enjoyed reading, scrap booking, traveling, roller coasters and spending time with family.
Sharon is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Forbes of Hartford; her mother, Dorothy Anderson of Peshtigo; two brothers, Bruce (Jane) Anderson of Winchester and Bryan Anderson of Marinette; and her sister, Cecile (Darryl) Aday of Grand Junction, Colorado. She is also survived by seven nieces, seven nephews and numerous great-nieces and nephews. Sharon was preceded in death by her father, Richard Anderson of Peshtigo, and her sister-in-law, Debbie Anderson of Marinette.
She was a loving and giving person, and she will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the American Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
The family will be receiving family and friends Saturday, April 11, 2015, from 1:30-3 p.m. Memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. at the Berndt-Ledesma Funeral Home-Hartford.
