Lori K. Ward, 57

Lori K. Ward, age 57, of Tomahawk, passed away on Monday, April 13, 2015, at her home under hospice care. She was born Aug. 17, 1957, in Milwaukee, to the late Darrell and Caroline (Greiner) Asmus. Lori grew up in West Bend and was a 1975 graduate of West Bend West High School. She later attended the University of Wisconsin- Stevens Point and continued her education through the University of Phoenix online program. She was married to Anthony Ward on Nov. 21, 1987, in Nebo, North Carolina; he survives.
Lori was able to work from home, employed through Spiros Industries of West Bend. She truly loved her job and cherished the generous hearts of Dennis Backhaus and Jim Maronde, as well as all of Spirosí employees. Lori had many special friends who loved and prayed for her through her illness, including the late Dave Loomans, Kathy Loomans, Louann Beiler, Teri Cernoch, Rick and Patti Thole, Jerry and Nancy Kall, Al Spaeth and Tracy Spaeth. Lori adored her two dogs, Tuff and Dezel. She was a member of the Prince of Peace Christian Church of Tomahawk. Lori is survived by her husband, Anthony Ward of Tomahawk; her son, Brandon Ward of West Bend; sisters, Cheryl (Mark) Brickman of Mequon, and Sue (Rich) Anderson, of Tampa, Florida; brothers, David (Nola) Asmus of Allenton, Dan Asmus of Key West, Florida, and Tom (Miche) Asmus of the Philippines; and sister-in-Law, Lesley Ward of Nebo, North Carolina.
She is further survived by many nieces and nephews: Stacey Medford, Justin Oroskovic, Angie (Dave) Niemi, David Jr. (Maggie) Asmus, Michael Speath, Brett Anderson, Josh Asmus, Sara Asmus and Levi Asmus.
Lori was preceded in death by her parents, Darrell and Caroline.
Funeral services for Lori Ward will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 1 p.m. from Generations Funeral Home. The Rev. Alice Sharping will officiate.
