Funeral services will be held Friday, April 24, 2015, at 6 p.m. at First Immanuel Lutheran Church, W67 N622 Evergreen Blvd., Cedarburg, for Lester F. Riebe, lifelong resident of Cedarburg who died on Friday, April 17, 2015, at Lasata Care Center from natural causes at the age of 90 years.
Interment will take place on Saturday, April 25, 2015, at Zur Ruhe Cemetery, next to his wife, Erema.

Lester was born on Friday, Dec. 5, 1924, in Cedarburg, the son of Gustav and Elenora (nee Miske) Riebe. Lester was inducted into the Army during World War II on June 16, 1943, and was honorably discharged on April 17, 1946. Lester married Erema Kohlwey on June 11, 1949, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Grafton, and they were blessed with two children. Erema preceded him in death in 1994. He was a proud veteran and a member of the American Legion Peter Wollner Post 288 in Cedarburg.
He worked in Grafton for very many years as a precision machinist, and he also owned Riebeís Grocery Store in Cedarburg. Lester was a passive member of the Cedarburg Fire Department. He was the only remaining charter member in the Menís Club at First Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Beloved husband of the late Erema. Loving father of David (Debie) Riebe of Grafton and Caryl (Joseph) Giuliani of Cedarburg.
Proud grandfather of Sheila (fiancChris Bolser) Kinnunen of Florida, Tanya (Travis) Thiede of Green Bay, Courtney (Conrad Sniegowski) Riebe of Florida, Allison (fiancChris Meunier) Riebe of Appleton and Nikolas Giuliani of Cedarburg and great-grandfather of Samuel Thiede; brother of Margaret Bay of Cedarburg and Florence Bleeke of Brookfield.
Further survived by other relatives and friends.
