Russell A. Vermillion, 69

Russell A. “Butch” Vermillion, 69, of West Bend, died unexpectedly at Froedtert Hospital on Monday, April 20, 2015. He was born on Sept. 27, 1945, the son of George and Bertha Clark Vermillion Sr. in Oakfield. He proudly served in the United States Navy from July 23, 1963, through Sept. 26, 1966. After 28 years of employment, he retired from the West Bend Co. Simultaneously, he was a well-known bartender in the local area for more than decades.
He is survived by two children, Kelly and son-inlaw Phil Anders and Kirk Vermillion, both of West Bend; his grandson, Donavin Vermillion; one brother, George “Buzz” (Diane) Vermillion of St. Peter; seven sisters, Kay (Wallace) Swiss of Ocala, Florida, L. Ann (Dean) Bradley of Avon Park, Florida, Pauline (James) Drehmel of Sebring, Florida, Barbara (Duane) Preissner, Judith (Robert) Von Rotz, Janet (Rodney) Immel, all of Fond du Lac and Renee (Patrick) Galligan of Rhinelander; and his sisterin- law, Carmen Vermillion of Ocala, Florida. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Russ was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Sandra; and one brother, Raymond.
Honoring Russell’s wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
A memorial has been established in Russell’s name.
