Roger E. Brandt, 70, of Algoma passed away on Friday, April 24, 2015. He was born on Jan. 2, 1945, in Port Washington to Walter H. and Rosa L. (Flok) Brandt.
On Oct. 14, 1972, he married Katie Vida in Newburg.
Roger truly enjoyed farming and also found joy in growing and picking raspberries, gardening, watching agriculture shows, hunting and especially Harley-Davidson motorcycles.
He is survived by his wife, Katie; one son, Steve Brandt of California; and three brothers and sistersin- law, Irv (Arlene) Brandt, Bill (Diane) Brandt and Ray (Kathy) Brandt, all of Cedarburg. Roger is further survived by his brothers-inlaw and sisters-in-law, Jim (Deb) Vida, Slinger; Terry (Gary) Cook, Waukesha; Mike (Jill) Vida, Adell; David (Lisa) Vida, Theresa; Mary (Rich) Martens, Texas; John (Maria) Vida, Las Vegas; and Bob (Wendy) Vida, Las Vegas; as well as nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Walter and Howard; and one sister, Rosie.
Family and friends gathered at Wiesner & Massart Funeral Home, 1617 Flora Ave., Algoma, Wis., for a memorial service from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday May 3, 2015. Online condolences may be shared at www.wiesnermassart.com. A celebration of Rogerís life will also be held in Cedarburg at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Rogerís name.
