Marvin “Marv” Hamm, age 78, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born Jan. 13, 1937, in Rudolph, to Charles and Mathilda (nee Gundrum) Hamm. Marv loved traveling in the motor home, being a member of St. Peter’s Church, Knights of Columbus and was an active member of Wisconsin Voyagers. He fought a courageous battle with cancer.
Marv is survived by his wife of 52 years, Carol; children, Roger (Renee), Sandy (Kent) Lisko, Bob (Patsy) and Suann Mason; grandchildren, Stephanie (Austin) Smith, Kelly Bamke, Brian, Tanya (Doug) Blaty, Samantha (Austin) Kearns, Brad and Garett, Jacob and Deven Mason; great-grandchildren, Isabelle, Ethan, Lexi and Maiya; special family friends, Dave (Nancy) Stewart; siblings, Gladys (Walter) Wenzlaff, Delores Wolf, William (Eva), Marlene (Donald) Sarauer, Lois (Roy) Lochen and Rosie (Dennis) Edwards; siblings-in-law, Leo (Pat) Dornacker, Ruth (Tom) Jansen and Ralph (Arleen) Dornacker. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Joseph; and parents-in-law, George and Eleanor Dornacker.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter’s Catholic Church (200 E. Washington St., Slinger) on Tuesday, May 19, 2015, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at the church from 11 a.m. until the time of Mass. Interment will follow at New St. Peter’s Cemetery.
