Hilma Mickel (nee Zeller) of Hudson, Fla., formerly of Grafton, passed away at home on Saturday, May 16, in the dedicated, loving care of her husband, Alfred.
She was the loving mother of the late Karin, Doris (Dick) Stephens of Cedarburg and Fred of Wildwood, Mo. Proud grandmother to Collin, Noah and Sam.
Hilma was born Jan. 3, 1936, in Germany to Johann and Marta (nee Heier). In 1950, she immigrated to the United States with her family, relocating in 1952 to Milwaukee, where she met her husband of 54 years.
In 1970, she moved to Grafton, where they lived until she retired in 2001, and moved to Florida.
Hilma was a dedicated employee at Ben Franklin / Banner Crafts store in Grafton for more than 25 years, where she enjoyed assisting customers, creating custom flower arrangements and wedding bows.
Hilma enjoyed her family, horse races, gardening and traveling with her devoted husband. We take comfort in knowing that she’s has moved on to be with those who have passed before her and rests in the Lord’s care.
