Ronald Frederick Thierfelder went to his heavenly home surrounded by family and God on Friday, May 22, 2015, at the age of 57 years. Visitation will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mequon, 11450 N. Wauwatosa Road, followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. A light luncheon will follow the burial at the church. Memorials to www.ataxia.org or Trinity Ev. Ron was born on May 4, 1958, in Mequon, where he graduated from Homestead High School in 1976, and went to college at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. He spent almost three decades in the construction industry, then left to pursue a career as a barber. Over the years, Ron enjoyed bowling, golf, softball, trapshooting and billiards, coaching his daughters in numerous sports and spending time outdoors. He was a kind, compassionate man who understood the value of laughter. His daughters will always remember his words, “Don’t forget to smile.”
He is survived by his three daughters, Amy Thierfelder, Emily (Lee) Kuhn and Stephanie (Andrew) Shelp; his three siblings, Wayne Thierfelder, Eileen (Tom) Jungkuntz and Robert (Sue) Thierfelder; sister-in-law, Judy Thierfelder; and two grandchildren, Graham Kuhn and Sophia Shelp. He is preceded in death by his parents, Hillard and Bernice Thierfelder; brother, Jim Thierfelder; sister-in-law, Pauline Thierfelder; beloved dog, Sadie and a very special great-aunt Lorraine Wendt. Ron is further survived by a loving extended family and many lifelong friends.
