Thomas F. Leitheiser, 84

Thomas F. Leitheiser of Jackson died Tuesday, May 26, 2015, at Harbor Haven Health and Rehabilitation Center in Fond du Lac at the age of 84. He was born Dec. 7, 1930 to the late Thomas and Frances (nee Zahn) Leitheiser.
In 1948, Tom entered the United States Army, serving during the Korean conflict. Following his discharge, he returned to Wisconsin.
On Feb. 24, 1954, he was united in marriage to Betty M. Good in Chicago. The couple lived in many places, but called Jackson home for many years. Betty predeceased April 7, 2012.
For more than 20 years, Tom was employed at Gehl Co., retiring in 1989.
He was a member of the S/Sgt. Henry F. Gumm Post 486 American Legion.
Survivors include three children, Cynthia St. Peter, Jill (Ray) Walker and Thomas (Jayne) Leitheiser; two sons-in-law, Red Roberts and John Kannenberg; one daughter-inlaw, Wendy Leitheiser; 17 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law, Lucy Leitheiser, Florence Leonard and Dorothy (Hank) Roberts; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by four children, Susan Kannenberg, Terri Roberts, Timmy Leitheiser and Ted Leitheiser; one grandson, Donald Walker; one son-in-law, Gregory St. Peter; and one brother, Charles Leitheiser.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 30, at 11:30 a.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson with Mr. Daniel Schroeder officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery in Lannon with military honors. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 10-11:15 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, Tom requested memorials to the S/Sgt. Henry F. Gumm Post 486 American Legion.
