Lois Mae Fochs, 85
Aug. 6, 1929 -- June 8, 2015
Lois Mae Fochs (nee Averill), age 85, of Hartford, passed away Monday, June 8, 2015, at The Kathy Hospice in the town of Polk surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on Aug. 6, 1929, in West Bend to Ogle and Adah (nee Skeel) Averill. Lois was united in marriage to Wilfrid W. Fochs on July 2, 1949, at Holy Angel’s Catholic Church in West Bend.
Lois worked for West Bend Mutual Insurance Co. for almost 40 years. She was a devoted wife who enjoyed being outside and gardening, always finding something to do on the 10 acres she and Wilfrid owned. Earlier in her life, she enjoyed polka, dancing and taking bus trips together. She also enjoyed reading, but most of all she loved her family and children and adored her grandchildren. She was the glue to her family: Selfless, always there and constantly worried about her family.
She is survived by her loving children, Laurie Koerber of Hartford, Martin (Janet) Fochs of Kewaskum and Mark (Lynette) Fochs of Slinger; cherished grandchildren, Kari (Mark) Bassett, Jim (Ashlie), Michael and Jill Koerber, Kimberly Fochs-Burk, Jeffrey (Dana), Tyler (Melissa) and Jennifer Fochs, April (Tony) Brodzeller and Matthew (fiancée, Cristine) Fochs; cherished great-grandchildren, Addyson and Josephine Koerber, Mason, Marissa and Aiden Koerber, Channa Burk, Elly, Kaleigh and joyously expected great-grandbaby Fochs, Brynlee Fochs-Bialk and Shelby, Sydney and Sadie Brodzeller; her dear siblings, Charlotte Schneider and LeRoy (Marilyn) Averill of Florida; and brother-in-law, Robert Didier. She is further survived by other loved relatives, nieces, nephews and friends.
Lois is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wilfrid W. Fochs; her parents, Ogle and Adah Averill; parents-in-law, Anna and Louis Fochs; siblings, Eugene Averill and Lorraine Didier; brother-in-law, LaVerne Schneider; and her son-in-law, Dennis Koerber.
