Francis Neu, 76
March 11, 1939 -- June 21, 2015
Francis “Corky” Neu, age 76, of Hartford, entered eternal life on Sunday, June 21, 2015, at The Kathy Hospice, surrounded by family and friends.
Corky was born on March 11, 1939, in Hartford, the son of Raymond and Sylvia (nee Maultauf) Neu. He was the second oldest of six children.
Corky graduated from Hartford High School in 1957. On July 25, 1959, he married the love of his life, Nancy Goetz, at St. Boniface in Goldendale. He dedicated 39 years of his life to the city of Hartford Police Department and the Department of Public Works. After retirement, he and Nancy spent their time traveling, visiting family and friends, camping and camp hosting at Pike Lake.
Corky is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy; his children, Scott (Diane) Neu, Randy, Victoria Diaz, Joe (Tammy) Neu, Jeff (Mary) Neu, Brian (Joel) Neu and Bradley Neu (Anna Kats); grandchildren, Melissa, Randy Adam, Nikki, Amanda (Jesse) Rodriquez, Alisha (Ryan) Schlipp, Stephanie, Travis, Libby (Andrew Joy), Sierra, Kazimir, Jace, Sophie, Sawyer, Kahlil and Laila; and great-grandchildren, Kaleigh, Kaden, Nolan, Hunter, Owen and Kullen. Also survived by his mother, Sylvia; his sisters, Betty Smith, Judy (Wayne) Gilbert and Rita (Jim) Lemberger; his brother, John Neu; sisters-in-law, Marion Fassbender, Leona Collelo, Shirley (Ron) Lisecki, Marjorie Thoma, Jane Schoedel and Mary Rose Yarley; and brothers-in-law, Dan (Carol) Goetz and Tom (Jean) Goetz. He is also survived by other dear relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his father, Raymond; brother David; mother- and father-in-law, Leo (Mary) “Mamie” Goetz; brothers-in-law, Cliff Smith, Al Fassbender, Larry Thoma, Charley Yarley, Leo Goetz Jr. and Roger Schoedel; and son-in-law, Jose Diaz.
Please join Corky’s family and friends for a visitation to celebrate his life on Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at St. Kilian Catholic Church (264 State St., Hartford, WI 53027) from 4-8 p.m. There will be additional visitation on Thursday, June 25, 2015, from 10-11 a.m. at the church with the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. with the Rev. David LaPlante officiating.
Interment will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Friends of Pike Lake are appreciated.
