Glen E BeckerGlen E. Becker, age 79, of the town of Jackson died peacefully on Saturday, July 4, at his residence with his family by his side. He was born March 12, 1936, in Hartford to Everett and Melania (nee Hug) Becker and married Donna Peters on Oct. 17, 1959, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Chapel.

Glen began working for the West Bend Co. before entering the National Guard. Following his discharge he worked for Hy-Hoe before working at Rostad Aluminum in Grafton and MBW Inc. in Slinger, retiring in 2001.

Glen loved his family more than anything and worked very hard for them. Glen and Donna were foster parents for more than 26 years, caring for more than 50 children. He loved the Green Bay Packers, Milwaukee Brewers and auto racing and enjoyed playing baseball well into his 70s. He loved hunting deer, pheasants and, most of all, rabbits.

Glen is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna; four children, Michael (Cathy) of Port Washington, Patrick (special friend Sherry) of Germantown, Connie (Paul) Speck of Jackson and Jessica (special friend Nick) Becker of West Bend; two grandchildren, Alex Becker and Kayla Wendorf; and his brother, Richard (Wendy) Becker of Hartford. He is further survived by his brothers- in law and sisters-in-law, Kay Becker of Hartford, Marietta Guenther of Freeport, Illinois, Beatrice (Robert) Boldt of West Bend, Loretta Justman of West Bend, Alan (Rita) Peters of West Bend, Leon (Cynthia) Peters of West Bend, Eleanor Peters of West Bend, Bethana Peters of Hartford, Christine Peters of Port Washington and Jean Beimborn of West Bend; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Melania Becker; his brother, Robert Becker; his sister, Joan (Kenneth) Klink; and his brothers-in-law, Vernon Peters, Gerald Peters, Ralph Peters, Linus Peters, Richard Guenther and Henry Justman.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, July 10, 2015, at 11 a.m. at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church in West Bend with the Rev. Enrique Hernandez presiding. Entombment will follow in Washington County Memorial Park. The family will greet relatives and friends on Thursday, July 9, from 5 p.m. until a prayer vigil at 8 p.m. at the Schmidt Funeral Home in West Bend, and also Friday at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church from 9:30-10:45 a.m. In lieu of flowers, masses or memorials are appreciated.
