Pamela Ann Hartfiel nee Filber, 56
May 4, 1959 -- June 27 2015

Pamela Ann Hartfiel of Eden Valley, Minnesota, went to be with her lord and savior on June 27, 2015, after a long and courageous struggle.

She was born May 4, 1959, to Arthur and Marilyn (Volkmann) Filber in West Bend. Pam grew up on a farm in the town of Wayne and this lead to a lifelong love of nature, gardening and animals. She attended Good Shepherd Lutheran School, Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School and Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota. She married the love of her life, Timothy Hartfiel in 1979. They shared 36 years together.

Pam was a great cook and used her gifts when she worked for Bernie’s Barn and Eden Valley Inn. She shared her love for Jesus by teaching Sunday school for more than 20 years at Paynesville Lutheran Church. Pam was a “hockey mom” to many. She will be remembered as “Crazy Grandma” to her grandchildren. Pam’s witty sense of humor and genuine love for life will be deeply missed.

Pam is survived by her husband, Tim; children, Shannon, Eric (Miriah), Adam and Justin; grandchildren, Gabby, Eric Jr., Grace, Trevor, Tyler and Jaylyn; parents, Arthur and Marilyn Filber; siblings, Paul, Peter (Kyle), Philip and Patti (Scott) Derge; former son-in-law, Jamie Schutz; and other family and friends.

She is preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Janice Filber, and a nephew, Ben Derge.

A celebration of life was held on Wednesday, July 1, at Paynesville Lutheran Church.
