Marshall was born on Jan. 13, 1932, in Thiensville, the son of the late Walter and Clara (nee Scheffler) Filter. Marshall was in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. He was a proud veteran. He married Audrey Lueders on May 3, 1952, and they were blessed with two daughters. Marshall was a simple man who was an avid fisherman and loved feeding and watching the birds. You could say Marshall was a bird enthusiast. He was the head custodian at the Mequon-Thiensville School District, a member of First Immanuel Lutheran Church and was a volunteer at Lasata Care Center, which was very important to him. Marshall will be missed by his dog, Sadie the boxer.

Marshall is survived by his wife of 63 years, Audrey; daughters, Terry (Michael) Esterday and Mary Kay Carron; grandchildren, Andrew (Lucy) Esterday, Blake Esterday, Rachel Esterday, Lindsay Carron and Benjamin Carron; other relatives and friends.

Mueller Funeral Home & Crematory is serving the family.
