Virginia C. Mueller, age 92, of West Bend, passed away quietly with close family at her side at The Waterford of West Bend, formerly Emerald Way, on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015. She was born Sept. 29, 1922, in Nenno, one of six children of the late John and Eleanor (nee Bath) Mueller.
Her work consisted of housekeeping until she started working at the West Bend Co. in 1947. Virginia loved her work there and enjoyed spending time with her fellow employees. Often during lunch breaks, they would get together and play sheepshead. For 37 years, she was a hardworking and faithful employee.
Following her retirement in 1984, she decided to do some traveling. She visited many places in Europe, and was honored to travel with Monsignor Gass and his mother. While on that trip they visited the Vatican, where she met Pope John XXIII. She also loved traveling with her church, Holy Angels Parish.
She leaves behind her sister, Theresa Justinger of West Bend; one sister-in-law, Johanna Mueller of St. Lawrence; and many nieces and nephews who will miss her deeply. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore Sr. and Gilbert; two sisters, Beatrice (Lawrence) Randall and Alberta (William Sr.) Maki; one brother-in-law, Joe Justinger; and one nephew, Robert Mueller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday, Aug. 12, at noon at Holy Angels Catholic Church with her nephew, the Rev. George Maki presiding. Burial will follow in Holy Angels Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church is Wednesday from 11-11:45 a.m.
The family has requested memorials to the Holy Angels School Trust Fund or to the charity of the donorís choice.
