Christopher J. Holz, 53
July 27, 1962 -- Aug. 20, 2015
Christopher “Chris” J. Holz, 53, of Saukville, passed away Aug. 20, 2015, at Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls.
He was born July 27, 1962, in Fond Du Lac. Chris drove semi/dump trucks his entire life. He was most recently employed at Kruepke Trucking and worked at West Bend Transit prior to that.
He is survived by his best friend, Wendye Girard; her daughter, Jenae (Austin) Behnke; his granddaughter, Brooklyn; his mother, Beverly (Dale) Gavin; three sisters, Corrie (fiancé Chris), Cindy (fiancé Ray) and Mandi Holz; one brother, Chad (fiancée Sue); five stepsiblings; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
He loved the Green Bay Packers, NASCAR and winged sprint car racing. He loved all pets, especially his German Shepherd, Taz. Chris was always the life of the party and the quickest with one-liners.
Chris would always give the shirt off his back if someone was in need, and continued giving after his death with life-enhancing donations. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family. A special thank you from the family to all the emergency medical personnel that helped Chris.
He is now waving the checkered flag in Heaven.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held Sunday, Aug. 30, 2015, at 4 p.m. at the Myrhum-Patten Funeral Home (1315 W. Washington St., West Bend). Visitation will be at the funeral home Sunday from 2 p.m. until the time of service.
Casual attire welcomed, especially Packers or race gear!
