Alyce Mae Winnemueller, 87

Alyce Mae Winnemueller (nee  Schacht)Alyce Mae Winnemueller (nee Schacht) passed away peacefully at her home Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015. She was born Jan. 8, 1928, in West Bend to Paul and Alice (nee Machmueller) Schacht, and lived her entire life in the West Bend area. Alyce married Bert Winnemueller in 1978 and the two of them enjoyed many years together. They traveled, square danced and attended numerous family events as their family was an important part of their of lives.

Alyce was a wonderful mom to her five daughters and is survived by four of them: Elaine (Greg) Schiek of Conover, Peggy (Don) Wadley of Boise, Idaho, Laurie (Jim) Oswald of Iron Ridge and Nancie (Peter) Wojciechowski of Stevens Point. Her daughter, Linda Kopp, passed away in 2006.

She is further survived by grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Greg (Wendy) Schiek (Greg and Isabella) of Abrams, Brenda (Greg) Melton (Rowan and Isla) of Montara, California, Sarah Schiek (Corey Weir) (Ava and Emma) of Edgerton, George (fiancee Desiree) Oswald of Juneau, Martha Wadley of Boise, Idaho, Helen (Jeff) Wright of Germany, Laura (Aaron) Rapp (Logan and baby-to-be) of New London, Karen Wadley of Boise, Idaho, Donna (James) Campbell (Elaine, Jimmy and Copernicus) of Boise, Idaho, Ken Wadley of Meridian, Mississippi, and Paul (fiancee Kassie) Wojciechowski of Madison.

She is further survived by her brothers, Rich (Dee Dee) Schacht of West Bend and Tom (Carol) Schacht of Switzerland, Florida; sister, Rosie (Philip) Doyle of Conway, Arkansas; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Alyce is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bert Winnemueller; twin brothers, Donald and David Schacht; grandparents, Elizabeth and Adolph Schacht, and Martha and William Machmueller; and previous husband, Wesley Kopp.

Alyce’s life was a true testament to her faith and she will be dearly missed by her family and friends, including those at Cedar Ridge and Cedar Bay East.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Frances Cabrini (1025 S. Seventh Ave., West Bend) at noon on Wednesday, Sept. 23, 2015, with Father Enrique presiding. Visitation will be at church from 10-11:45 a.m.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Mosley and his staff, Cedar Community Hospice and the staff at Cedar Bay for the gentle and patient care they provided. Our heartfelt appreciation also goes to the clergy, staff and volunteers of St. Frances Cabrini Parish who provided the sacraments and spiritual support to Alyce. Many thanks to all the friends who have been supportive of Alyce and her family during this difficult time.
