Jennifer E. “Jenny” Guenterberg  (nee Tobey)Jennifer E. “Jenny” Guenterberg (nee Tobey), 49, of Hartford, passed away in her home Monday, Sept. 21, 2015, surrounded by her loving family after a strong, courageous, nineyear battle with metastatic breast cancer.

Jenny was born Oct. 12, 1965, in Menomonee Falls to Jeanne and Paul Tobey. She was united in marriage to Wesley J. Guenterberg on Oct. 14, 2000, at St. Jacobi Church in Richfield. She worked for the Mineshaft Restaurant in Hartford for more than 18 years. She was also part of the Peace Lutheran Church family for many years. She was strong in her faith and enjoyed participating in bible study classes. Jenny will be fondly remembered for her collection of angels and crosses, and most of all her selfless character and devotion to her family.

Jenny is survived by her beloved husband of 14-plus years, Wesley J. Guenterberg; her loving children, Dennis L. (Shannon) Sanders, Amanda M. Sereday and Abigail J. Guenterberg; cherished grandchildren, Chance L. Sanders and Shayla M. Sessody; dear siblings, Carol (Arthur) Kallie, Patricia (Gary) Jahn and Sarah (Clifford) Lerand; loving parents-inlaw, Gale and David Guenterberg; dear sister- in-law, Milissa (Michael) Rick; loved niece, Lillith Rick; and nephew, Michael Rick. She is further survived by many other treasured relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Jeanne Tobey. Funeral services for Jenny will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, at Peace Lutheran Church (1001 Center St., Hartford, WI 53027) with the Rev. Aaron Steinbrenner officiating. Family will greet relatives and friends at the church Friday from 9:30-10:30 a.m.

Additional visitation will be held from 3-9 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 24, 2015, at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027).

Interment will take place Friday, Sept. 25, 2015, immediately following church services in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Hartford.

Jenny’s family would like to share their sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the medical staff at the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic in Slinger, and all of their friends and family especially her extended family at the Mineshaft who have supported her in her fight and supported her family. Also, great appreciation to the Peace Lutheran Family for all of their care, concern and support especially with comforting Abby during this difficult time.
