Dean F. Bauer, 75
October 3, 1939-September 25, 2015

Dean F. Bauer was born to Eternal Life on Sept. 25, 2015, at the age of 75 years. Dean was born in Milwaukee on Oct. 3, 1939, the son of Frederic Bauer and Delphine (nee Gmirek) Bauer. He graduated from Custer High School in Milwaukee in 1959, and continued his education at MSOE for two years.  Dean entered the United States Army where he served in the reserves for seven years.

Dean was united in marriage to Jeanine (nee Rondeau) in 1965, at St. Roberts Catholic Church in Shorewood. Dean was employed by the Nitragin Company in Milwaukee for over 33 years, working as a plant manager. In years following, he worked at Amcast,in Cedarburg, in the human resource department, and finished his career at Milwaukee Sign Company in Grafton.

Dean adored his beautiful wife, Jeanine.  hey were blessed with three sons: Dean (Margaret) Bauer of Elkhart Lake, David (Lynn) Bauer of Saukville and Timothy (Michelle) Bauer of Oak Creek; seven grandchildren: Jeremy, Cody, Josh, Nathan, Brandon, Emily and Taylor; and three great-grandchildren: Lilah, Elliot and Oliver. Dean is further survived by his three brothers: Richard Bauer, Don (Diane) Bauer and John Bauer, other relatives and friends.
Dean was a gentle and loving father and husband. He loved trips to the North Woods, making Minocqua his favorite vacation spot for the last 40 years. He enjoyed spending time with the family camping and fishing. He had a passion for reading, sometimes reading three books in one week. He loved a good game of sheepshead with family and friends, especially when playing with his three competitive sons; he was excited to teach his grandkids how to play as well. He loved spending time with the grandkids, whether it was taking them to the park, watching soccer or football games, attending dance recitals or going to school for grandparents day. He was proud of each and every one of them.
He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

A Celebration of Dean’s Life will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church (1619 Washington St.), in Grafton, on Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2015, at 6 p.m. He will be in state on Wednesday, at the church, from 3 p.m. to 5:45 p.m.
