Nicole C. Kopfmann, 23 Nicole C. Kopfmann, 23, of West Bend, entered eternal life Sunday, Oct. 11, 2015, surrounded by her family. She was born on Nov. 27, 1991, the loving daughter of Robert and Christine (nee Kruse) Kopfmann.

Nicole graduated from Slinger High School in 2010, where she excelled in academics, was a peer, head drum major, student council member, National Honor Society member, Spanish National Honor Society member, she student- directed the musicals, performed in the plays and enjoyed ski team and cross-country.

She was a very active member of her youth group at Our Saviors Lutheran and was a student member of the church council call committee.

Nicole attended the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities where she graduated with her liberal arts degree in May on the Deanís List. Nicole was passionate about school and her dedication to graduate from college throughout her illness was admirable.

Nicole loved music, art, theatre, reading, writing, running, water and snow skiing, but most of all spending time in great conversation over a cup of coffee with friends and family. She was an inspirational leader and mentor who lead by example to all people she encountered in her life. She was an optimist and took pride in a job well done. She had a contagious laugh and spirit that drew people in. She had big dreams of grad school, travel and finding the perfect job where she could share her talents and help others ó she had a genuine love for people. We truly believe that the good Lord has an awesome plan for this remarkable young lady, even bigger than the one she had for herself.

Nicole is survived by her loving parents, Robert and Christine (Kruse) Kopfmann; her caring siblings, brother Scott and sister Amy; her loving grandparents, Richard and Susan (Schram) Kruse; aunt and uncles, Cindy (Kevin) Thompson and Jennifer (Troy) Zaskowski; cousins, Hunter, Carson, Amanda and Ryan; and many other relatives and wonderful friends.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Beverly Kopfmann, and aunts and uncles, Victoria and David Kopfmann and James Kruse.

A funeral service for Nicole will be 5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 18, 2015, at Our Saviorís Lutheran Church (1044 S. Silverbrook Drive, West Bend)) with the Rev. Darin Wiebe presiding. A visitation will be at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of the service. Interment will be 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 19, 2015, at Washington County Memorial Park (3358 Paradise Drive, West Bend).

Nicole was cared for by many loving people throughout her illness but the family would like to extend their heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Herdrich and Dr. Brown for going over and above to assist them these past several weeks ó their dedication and kindness made all the difference.
