Arnold “Arnie” L. Schumacher, 67, of West Bend, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 3, 2015, after a brief fight with an aggressive cancer. He joined our Lord in Heaven and is now in Eternal Peace and free from pain.
Arnie was born Sept. 26, 1948, to Arnold Sr. and Ethel (nee Opper) Schumacher.
Arnie will be dearly missed by all his family, extended family, many friends and coworkers. He will be forever remembered for his uncanny ability to make a room full of people laugh to the point of tears with his one-line comebacks and stories. He truly had a heart of gold.

Arnie is survived by his daughters, Brenda (Roland) Hayward and October “Tobie” (Randy) Johnson; grandson, Joshua (Stephanie) Schumacher; grandchildren, Victoria “Tori,” Alexandria “Lexi,” Isabel, Dylan and Zoey; great-grandchildren, Hailey, Hayden and Claire; and sisters, Caroline (Richard “Lefty”) Reich and Charlotte (Fred) Legate. Arnie is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Howard “Howie” Schumacher; and his children’s mother, Susan Wenn.
A memorial service to honor and celebrate Arnie’s life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at the Phillip Funeral Home Chapel (1420 W. Paradise Drive, West Bend, WI 53095) with the Rev. Joseph Fisher officiating. The visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until the time of the service at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society (P.O.
