Ronald V. Mielcarek, 74

Ronald V. Mielcarek of West Bend died Monday, Nov. 2, 2015, at Aurora Medical Center Ozaukee County at the age of 74. He was born July 30, 1941, in Brown County to the late Vincent “Vic” and Irene (nee Karcz) Mielcarek.
He grew up in Pulaski, attending local schools and graduated from Pulaski High School. He then went on to attend the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a degree in accounting. He later earned his CPA certification.
On June 27, 1970, he was united in marriage to Judith C. Borowski in Milwaukee.
Following their marriage, the couple settled in the Milwaukee area where Ron began working for Roundy’s Inc. as an accountant. In the mid-1980s, the family moved to the West Bend area where he became a comptroller with Prescott Supermarkets.
After his retirement, he kept busy working part time for Northland Foods and later Shopko.
Survivors include his wife, Judith; two children, Anne (Bruce) Emmerson of Hartford and Brenda (Chris Kasper) Mielcarek; two granddaughters, Dana and Paige Emmerson; one brother, Ken (Linda) Mielcarek of Pulaski; one sister-in-law, Sue Mielcarek of DePere; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Randy Mielcarek, and a sister, Sharon Mielcarek.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 14, at the Schmidt Funeral Home. The family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society.
