William “Bill” Puestow, 85, passed away Nov. 25, 2015, at home surrounded by his family. He was born Aug. 2, 1930, in the town of Barton to Lawrence and Cecil (nee Demmon) Puestow. He retired from farming and then was a mechanic at John Deere for many years. Bill loved gardening, sheepshead and fishing. He was very active in his church.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Lorraine; brothers, Ralph (Patricia) and Gene (Patricia); sister, Arlene (Jack) Foell; and sister-in-law, Patricia. He is further survived by a stepdaughter, Rita (Robert) Bruss; aunt, Dorothy (Leland) Schultz; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bill is preceded in death by his first wife, Genevieve “Gennie”; parents; brother, Lawrence Jr. “Mike”; and sisters, Norma (Marion) Woollums and Helen Puestow. A funeral service for Bill will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, 2015, at St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger) with the Rev. Robert Fleischmann presiding. Visitation will be at church from 11 a.m. until the time of the service. Memorials appreciated to St. Paul’s Evangelical Lutheran Church (799 St. Paul Drive, Slinger, WI 53086).
