Beverly A. WantyBeverly A. Wanty, nee Bojack, of Jackson died Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at the Pavilion of Glacier Hills at the age of 81. She was born Jan. 7, 1934, in Milwaukee to the late of Conrad and Ruth (nee Buetow) Bojack.

She was united in marriage to F. Jerome “Jerry” Wanty on Sept. 25, 1954, at Our Lady of Good Hope Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

For many years, she taught accordion. She also drove school bus with Riteway Bus Company for a short time.

Throughout her life, she was involved in many organizations. She was a member of the Wisconsin Voyagers and Wisconsin Badger RV clubs, the Germantown Snow Drifters and Jackson Moonlighters snowmobile clubs and the Antique Snowmobile Club of America and the Wisconsin Vintners Club. One of her proudest accomplishments was that she rode snowmobiles with Women on Snow, a group of women that would ride throughout Wisconsin and the upper peninsula of Michigan.

In her spare time, she enjoyed reading, watching movies and cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and family.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry; four children, Scott of Milwaukee, Patrick (Lorrie) of Kewaskum, Kurt of Barton and Julie (Mark) Podjaski of Campbellsport; son-in-law, Larry Liukonen of Milwaukee; 10 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brother, Duane (Jean) Bojack of Minneapolis; two sisters-in-law, Marie (James) Rae of Milwaukee and Beverly Wanty of Milwaukee; and other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Teri Liukonen, and a sister, Gloria (Ralph) Lombness.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, 2015, at the Schmidt Funeral Home in Jackson. A gathering for family and friends will be at the funeral home from 1-3 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials to St. Francis Borgia Catholic Church, Cedarburg.
