Kristine Oksa Erb, born Sept. 16, 1953, to Reino and Eva Hayes Oksa in Sheboygan, passed away Dec. 6, 2015, at her home in Manama, Bahrain.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Reino Jr.; and a sister, Gardes Collins. She is survived by her husband, Larry Erb, and her son, Noah John Erb. She is also survived and will be sorely missed by four sisters, JoAnn Gries of Oshkosh, Karen Lukow of Rockford, Illinois, Sara Boyette of Panama City Beach, Florida, and Susan Miller of Bisbee, Arizona; and two brothers, Victor Oksa of Kenosha and Michael Oksa of Beaver Dam.
Kris received her B.A. in education and then a masterís in business administration. Kris became a teacher that could entice every student to be fascinated with numbers and the world. She had an endless curiosity. Kris retired from the Arizona school system after teaching in Naco, Tucson, Marana and Fredonia, Arizona. She continued teaching through the Department of Defense program, which sent her and her family to Bahrain, where she taught for seven years. Suddenly, she is gone. Kris is and was a most loving, caring and supportive mother, wife, sister and friend. She touched many lives and helped spread her joy to those around her. She especially enjoyed her adventurous career as a teacher, which allowed her to spread her kindness and help give knowledge to the future generations.
A memorial service was held at her school in Bahrain. A memorial service will be held in the United States in the near future.
