Lisa J. Wise, 50
Lisa J. Wise (nee Hetzel, formerly Lisa Fischer), 50, of Hartford passed away unexpectedly Friday, Dec. 25, 2015, at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Lisa was born Dec. 27, 1964, in Hartford to Donald C. and Hulda M. (nee Lisko) Hetzel. She was united in marriage to David R. Wise on April 12, 2014. Lisa worked as a dental receptionist for Dr. Paul J. Scheunemann for 17 years and previously for First National Bank of Hartford for 12 years. She was a longtime member of St. Kilian Catholic Church and often volunteered her time to the church and school. She also enjoyed participating in the Relay for Life cancer walks.
She will be remembered fondly by the immense amount of determination and strength she gained while overcoming cancer and becoming a survivor, her huge heart and loving personality, and being her daughters’ No. 1 fan — always supporting and attending their sporting events and dance performances and competitions. Lisa’s favorite pastimes included traveling, attending the Slinger Speedway races to support her nephew, and playing bingo. She had a beautiful smile and a twinkle in her eye no matter the situation. She will be dearly missed.
Lisa is survived by her loving mother, Hulda Hetzel of Hartford; loving mother-inlaw, Virginia Wise of West Bend; beloved husband, David Wise of Hartford; cherished daughters, Melissa and Laken Fischer of Hartford; loving siblings, Larry (Lila) Hetzel of Hartford, Doris (James) Gilligan of Hartford, Mark (Joan) Hetzel of Kewaskum and Patricia (Ronald) Winans of Hartford; and dear siblings-in-law, Sandra (Patrick) Wamser of West Bend, James (Mari-Ann) Wise of Gainesville, Georgia, and Nancy (Robert) Johnson of Menomonie. She is further survived by her fur children, “Kitty” and “Mittens,” as well as many other loved nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents; father, Donald Hetzel; and her father-in-law, Richard Wise.
Funeral services for Lisa will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 30, 2015, at the Shimon Funeral Home (824 Union St., Hartford, WI 53027.) Family will greet relatives and friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4-7 p.m.
